Extremadura
is one of the top European destinations for birdwatching, both for seeing
the great variety of breeding species, as well as species on migration.
Bird Tourism does not need to be limited to just particular certain
periods of the year, such as spring, but can be practiced throughout
the year, and can be closely linked to tourism focused on the outdoors
in the wider context. This growing sector is attracting interest from
many parties engaged in one way or another with ecotourism.
For the International Meeting, different activities are planned, including:
- Round Table discussions
- Plenary talks
- Group discussions
- Information exchange and informal discussions
The Second International Meeting on Bird Tourism in Extremadura will
take place between 2nd and 4th June in Trujillo (Cáceres).
